On February 19, Hong Kong Graduate School of Business and J. F. Oberlin University of Japan officially signed a cooperation agreement in Japan, marking the further deepening of the friendly relations between the two universities and opening a new chapter for the exchange and cooperation of higher education between China and Japan. Lei Haitao, Dean of Graduate School of J. F. Oberlin University, Japan, and Xu Huijun, Executive dean of Hong Kong Graduate School of Business signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.
By integrating their respective educational resources and professional expertise, the two sides will jointly launch a Chinese Master of Business Administration (MBA) program to jointly promote the cultivation of high-end talents in the field of finance and business. The program is approved by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for Chinese teaching and defense, and plans to select outstanding students from China and start the first batch of enrollment in March 2025.
Lei Haitao, dean of the Graduate School of J. F. Oberlin University in Japan, said: "J. F. Oberlin University has long been committed to academic exchanges between China and Japan. This cooperation will build on our international experience in business education and combine with the actual needs of the Chinese market to cultivate versatile talents with both financial professional ability and cross-cultural vision."
Xu Huijun, executive Dean of Hong Kong Graduate School of Business, pointed out: "This cooperation is not only the integration of academic resources, but also the deep integration of practice and theory. The program will introduce the advanced concepts of Yinglin University in lean management, enterprise innovation and other fields, while combining with the development trend of China's digital economy and financial technology, to provide students with a global learning platform."
J.f.Oberlin University is a private university in Machida, Tokyo, Japan. Ying Meilin for short, Ying Da. Located in Machida City, Tokyo, the Graduate School of Business Studies (including this Chinese program) degree program is taught in Shinjuku District, central Tokyo.
J.f.Oberlin University was founded in 1921 in Beijing Chongzhen Academy (now Chen Jinglun Middle School), the founder of Mr. Yaszo Shimizu.
At present, there are nearly 10,000 college students and postgraduates. The university has five schools, including the School of Business Management and the Comprehensive School of Arts and Sciences, as well as the Confucius Institute (jointly built with Tongji University) and the Japanese Language Department for international students. The Graduate School (Graduate School) has five areas of study: Business Studies, Psychology, gerontology, Linguistics and University Business Studies.
J.f.Oberlin University ranks among the top universities in Japan in terms of international exchange and student satisfaction. Times Higher Education 2023 Japanese private universities ranked 27th in the international rankings. The objectives of the MBA Chinese Program are: Based on the business management teaching and research team of Cherry Lynch University, together with well-known universities in China and well-known figures in the Chinese and Japanese business circles, we will build a first-class teaching and practice base for Chinese business management in Japan, recruit enterprise talents with Chinese as their mother tongue or close to the same level, and cultivate business elites with international vision and influence in the Asian economic circle.
