Yunus Foundation and Hong Kong Business School signed a memorandum of understanding

On April 17, Yunus Foundation and Xiangjiang Business School signed a memorandum of cooperation in Hong Kong, the two sides adhering to the "cross-border cooperation, strong alliance" model, effectively play the industry advantages of both sides, resource advantages, professional advantages, and jointly promote the high-quality development of inclusive finance and Yunus Foundation, Grameen model in Hong Kong and the mainland and other related cooperation.

In the future, the two sides will set up the Yunus Financial Inclusion Research Center in Hong Kong, and invite relevant experts to participate in the construction of the research center, while jointly carrying out market research and implementation of inclusive financial services and other related work, to promote win-win cooperation in various aspects.

 

 

 

Yunus Foundation Limited was established in Hong Kong in 2015 by Nobel Prize winner and Grameen Bank founder Professor Muhammad Yunus to spread the Grameen model and Yunus' social enterprise philosophy in the Greater China region.

 

The Yunus Foundation is active in international cooperation and has promoted the development of the Grameen model in China and other parts of Asia. By advocating and demonstrating the upgraded Grameen China model in China, the Yunus Foundation aims to fully develop and promote the collaborative promotion of the Grameen model across Asia.

 

 

Yunus Foundation has successfully held two Yunus China Weeks in 2015 and 2018 to promote Grameen's financial inclusion model and social enterprise concept in major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong with Prof. Muhammad Yunus. At the same time, Yunus Foundation actively promotes the establishment of Yunus Social Enterprise Center in universities to promote the academic research and development of Grameen model and social enterprise.

 

 

Muhammad Yunus (Bengali: মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস) is a Bangladeshi economist and founder of Grameen Bank (also known as Grameen Bank), known as the "banker to the poor".

Muhammad Yunus pioneered and developed "microloans" for entrepreneurs who were too poor to get traditional bank loans. In 2006, he shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Grameen Bank "in recognition of their efforts to promote economic and social development from the bottom of society."
