The eleventh concentrated teaching session of the Doctor of Financial Management program was held in Hong Kong from May 23rd to 24th. The students of the first class of the FDBA Gold Doctoral Program continued their advanced studies. The teaching team, composed of doctoral supervisors from the college, senior scholars from universities, and experts in the financial field, imparted their knowledge wholeheartedly. The content included lectures and case sharing, balancing theory and practice.
Mr. Yue Yi, a senior financier and banker, senior economist, and signatory representative of the Hong Kong dollar-issuing banks, delivered a lecture titled "Special Topics on the Development of Hong Kong's Financial Industry" to the trainees. The lecture covered three topics: the development of Hong Kong's financial industry, the internationalization of the RMB, Hong Kong's status as an international financial center, and Hong Kong's integration into the national development landscape.
Mr. Yue Yi is a director of the Belt and Road International Cooperation Hong Kong Center, a director of the Greater Bay Area Hong Kong Center, the director of the Nansha Guangdong-Hong Kong Cooperation Development Advisory Committee, the director of the Hainan-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Development Advisory Committee, and the director of the Fujian-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Development Advisory Committee.
Mr. Yue Yi has held positions such as Vice Chairman, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of China (Hong Kong). He has long been engaged in and in charge of various business areas of Bank of China globally, including international business, personal finance, corporate finance, financial markets, international trade, small and medium-sized enterprises, legal compliance, investment banking, and risk management.
Mr. Yue Yi holds a master's degree in finance from Wuhan University, is a senior economist, a visiting scholar at Yale University in the United States, and a visiting professor at Capital University of Economics and Business. He has served as a council member of "China Finance" and the chief editor of "International Finance". He has edited and published works such as "The RMB SDR Era and the Hong Kong Offshore RMB Center" and "New Capital Planning and Implementation of the Bank of China", and has published many articles on bank strategy, risk management, and enterprise financing in national newspapers and periodicals such as "China Finance" and "International Finance".


Ms. Su Min, the director of Xiamen International Investment (an independent non-executive director), gave a lecture to the students on "The Roles of the Buyer and the Seller in Corporate Finance".
Ms. Su Min has held positions in the economic management department for a long time. She is familiar with the operational rules of government departments and has extensive experience in policy formulation and interpretation.
He served as the chief accountant of China Shipping Group and Anhui Energy Group, responsible for the group's financial management-related work. He had unique experience in creating value through enterprise finance. He also oversaw the group's financial business and led the establishment of financial institutions such as China Shipping Leasing Company and China Merchants Bank Leasing Company. He had extensive experience in establishing financial institutions, understanding the characteristics, risk features, and performance evaluation of different financial institutions. He has long served as a director of financial institutions including China Merchants Bank, Huizhou Bank, Kunlun Bank, China Merchants Securities, Great Wall Securities, and Boshi Fund. He has a profound understanding and long-term practical experience in risk management of financial institutions. He led the internal collaboration work within large enterprise groups and led the development of the internal collaboration App system within the group. He has been in charge of strategic management for many years, familiar with the entire process of enterprise strategy formulation, adjustment, and performance evaluation.


On the second day of the course, the college invited experts from the thesis guidance team to give a presentation on DBA thesis examples and experiences. The students also had group discussions with the experts, which laid a foundation and built confidence for writing their doctoral theses.


To provide extensive training for Chinese entrepreneurs, Hongjiang Business School has jointly developed a doctoral program in financial management with the French Brest Business School, a doctoral program in business administration with the Japanese Chukyo University, and a master's program in business administration with the Japanese Sakura Bank University. All these programs are currently accepting applications.
The teaching team, consisting of doctoral supervisors, senior scholars, and experts in the field of finance, offers comprehensive instruction covering lectures, research, keynote speeches, case studies, etc., combining theory with practical application.
